Russia-Ukraine War: Ukraine is constantly being harmed by Russian airstrikes. This time the target of the missile fired from Russia became a newborn. A newborn baby has died after a Russian attack on a maternity ward in Ukraine’s southern Zaporizhzhya region. The two-storey building of the maternity ward was completely damaged in this attack.
The rescue team told that this ward was in Vilniask city of Zaporizhzhya region. During the accident, a woman was in the building with a newborn child. The child’s mother and a doctor were pulled out safely from the debris. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of terror and murder in his country.
Why Russia is attacking in Zaporizhzhya
The major nuclear plant is located in Zaporizhzhya region. That’s why it has repeatedly been the center of Russian attacks. Ukraine’s Emergency Service Department told that there were attacks throughout the night. Although the region is occupied by Ukraine, the entire Zaporozhye region is claimed by Russia following a self-styled referendum in September.
