UK Govt Going To Review Iran Nuclear Deal After Execution Of British-Iranian National Alireza Akbari

Alireza Akbari Execution: After the execution of British-Iranian citizen Alireza Akbari, the United Kingdom is going to reconsider its support for the Iran nuclear deal. According to a source, a report issued by senior officials said that circumstances have changed regarding the renewal of the nuclear deal, due to which Britain is reviewing its option to join the deal.
Talks on restoring the Iran nuclear deal have been stalled since August last year and meanwhile relations between the West and Iran are deteriorating after large-scale protests in Iran. Tehran’s deadly action on anti-hijab demonstrations has been strongly condemned at the international level.
It can take a decision after hanging
The British government headed by Rishi Sunak may take this decision after the execution of Alireza Akbari, who holds dual citizenship of Britain and Iran. Iran said it executed Alireza Akbari, a former high government official, for allegedly spying for Britain’s intelligence service. Alireza Akbari was a former deputy defense officer of Iran. He was arrested in the year 2019. After this, he was hanged yesterday on Saturday (January 14).
called hanging a barbarism
Rishi Sunak called the hanging given by Iran as vandalism. Sunak said on Twitter, “I am shocked by the execution of British-Iranian citizen Alireza Akbari in Iran. Condemn in the strongest terms the brutality against the human rights of our own people. This will not end without challenge.”
