Turkey Earthquake Updates: A 7.8 magnitude earthquake shook Turkey. Two consecutive earthquake tremors were felt here. The first tremor was felt on February 6 at 4.17 am local time, and a few minutes later, the second tremor was felt in central Turkey. So far around 200 people have died. Relief rescue work is going on continuously. At the same time, people are being shifted from the affected places to safer places. For this, Turkish Airlines has increased the number of flights by including additional flights.
The US Geological Survey said the epicenter was about 33 kilometers (20 mi) from Gaziantep and about 26 kilometers (16 mi) from the city of Nurdagi. According to the US Geological Survey, it was centered at a depth of 18 kilometers (11 mi). Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has also swung into action after the devastating earthquake. He took stock of the situation by talking to the governors of the eight affected provinces over phone.

- At least 237 people were killed in Syria after a 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck southeastern Turkey, the Syrian Ministry of Health said.
