Pervez Musharraf Death: Pervez Musharraf, former President and Army Chief of Pakistan, died on Sunday (February 5) after a prolonged illness. Musharraf was admitted in a hospital in Dubai for a long time. According to Musharraf’s relatives, he died due to amyloidosis disease.

After the death of Pervez Musharraf, people are remembering him for different reasons, but in Pakistan he is also remembered for giving rights to women. Former President Pervez Musharraf was always an advocate of giving rights to women. When he became the President of Pakistan, it was he who opened the doors for a large number of women to enter the Houses of Pakistan.

Apart from this, he changed the Islamic rape law in Pakistan. Actually, till that time it was very complicated to prove rape in Pakistan, but because of changing the rape law, the fundamentalists of the country had turned against General Pervez Musharraf.

Entering the military academy at age 18
In 1961, at the age of 18, Musharraf entered the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul. Musharraf got the rank of General in the year 1998 and he became the army chief of Pakistan. After this, in the year 1999, he seized power by removing the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from the post, but in the general elections of 2002, he won the elections and was successful in forming the government again with majority.

Pervez Musharraf has played a big role in the politics of Pakistan. After winning the 2002 elections, he again won the presidential election of Pakistan in the year 2007. But after the upheaval in the country, he imposed Emergency in Pakistan on 3 November 2007. On 24 November, the Election Commission of Pakistan confirmed Musharraf’s re-election as President.

Let us tell you that after this Pervez Musharraf gave up the military uniform and once again took over as the civilian President of Pakistan. In August 2008, Pakistan’s new coalition government decided to impeach Musharraf, after which he resigned as President on 18 August 2008.
