Pakistan Special Forces End Police Station Siege From Taliban Terrorists
Pakistan Special Forces: Pakistani Taliban militants have seized a police station in Bannu district of Pakistan’s restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Pakistan’s Special Forces have launched an operation by laying siege to the police station. Pakistan’s Special Forces have killed all 33 Taliban terrorists by laying siege to the police station. Two soldiers of Pakistan’s Special Forces have also been killed in this.

More than 30 fighters from the hardline Islamist Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group stormed a police station on Sunday, taking personnel hostage and snatching weapons from them. Muhammad Ali Saif, a spokesman for the provincial Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, said those held on suspicion of terrorism have demanded safe passage to Afghanistan in exchange for the release of at least eight police officers and military intelligence officers.

The hostage-taking police station is inside a cantonment area in Bannu district, which falls in Pakistan’s tribal areas, close to the border with Afghanistan. Offices and roads in the area have been closed and police and army posts have been set up around the area. The senior official told the AFP news agency that Pakistani officials have asked the government in Kabul to help secure the release of the hostages.
