North Korea Missile Launch: India has strongly condemned North Korea’s recent missile launching in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting. India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj said that the recently launched Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) towards the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) affects the peace and security in the region and beyond.
Apart from India, 14 countries have condemned North Korea’s missile launching in the meeting of the United Nations Security Council. UNSC has met for the second time in a month after missile launching in North Korea. India again expressed concern about peace and security in the region. At the same time, India has once again reiterated its demand for maintaining peace in the Korean Peninsula.
India emphasized in the UNSC meeting that it is necessary for the collective interest that priority should be given to dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the issue.
