Imran Khan Attacked: After the deadly attack on former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan during the Long March, he is being treated at Shaukat Khanum Hospital. Imran Khan’s condition is stable. But even after 24 hours of this firing incident, no FIR has been registered in this case so far. According to sources, a major reason for this delay is the differences between Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhary Pervez Elahi.
It is being told that Imran Khan is adamant on putting the names of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Home Minister Rana Sanaullah and senior ISI officer Major General Faisal Naseer in the FIR. On the other hand, Chaudhary Parvez Elahi is not in favor of this. Because of this FIR has not been registered yet. However, the person who opened fire has been arrested and he has confessed that he fired at Imran Khan because he was instigating the people and there was a lot of noise from the loudspeaker in his convoy at the time of Azaan.
Punjab government took action on video leak
The Punjab government has suspended the entire staff of the police station concerned after the video containing the confessional statement of the arrested attacker was leaked from the spot. The opposition is also raising questions about sending the team to private Shaukat Khanum Hospital for medico-legal report bypassing government rules for Imran Khan.
Protests intensify in many cities of Pakistan
At the same time, protests have intensified in many cities of Pakistan. PTI workers are appealing to the youth to ask questions to the government regarding this matter. While the lockdown has been imposed in Islamabad since Friday morning, protests have been going on since last night in many places including Lahore, Punjab. There have also been incidents of arson at many places. Shireen Mazari told that the Punjab Police has stopped the protesters in Lahore Cantt.
Imran Khan held a press conference from the hospital
Imran Khan addressed the press from Shaukat Khanum Hospital in an injured condition. He accused the Election Commission of saying that he is a servant of the government. The commission helped the government to defeat him in the elections. Imran Khan reminded of the attack on journalists in Pakistan in the past and said that a conspiracy was hatched to kill me, if all the bullets hit me, it was difficult for me to survive.
Let us inform that during the rally in Gujranwala on Thursday evening, Imran Khan’s convoy was attacked in which the attacker opened fire, out of which four bullets hit Imran Khan in both the legs. This information has been given by the hospital of Lahore where he is undergoing treatment. It has been told from the hospital that Imran had 16 marks of injury in both the legs.
